Winemakers Notes: A small barrel selection from three different vineyard parcels in the South Okanagan Valley, aged 18 months in neutral French oak barrels. A small portion of the wine (~20%) was fermented using whole clusters, providing an added layer of clover, mint, and allspice notes from the stems. Bottled unfined & Unfiltered.
Vintage: 2018
Nose: Plum, clove, allspice, smoked meat, pepper corn, lavender, black olive, and bacon with background notes of black fruits.
Palate: A Medium-plus bodied wine that starts with layers of dark fruit and sweet spice and tapers off to a peppery finish. Texturally, the wine has enough acidity and tannin from the stem inclusion to remain fresh and lively without feeling heavy or thick.
Pairing Suggestions: Blue cheese bacon burger. Soft, stinky cheeses. Anything barbecued or spiced with Herbes de Provence.
Residual Sugar: 2.2 g/l

There is an underlying earthiness to our 2017 Reserve Syrah, with notes of blackberry and redcurrant fruit, plum, chocolate. It's big, beautiful and very delicious.
