BC VQA wines are made from 100% BC-grown grapes, which have been approved through a strict quality assurance program.
What does VQA mean?
VQA stands for the Vintners Quality Alliance, the independent body that monitors BC's appellation of origin system. British Columbia Wine Authority is the provincial governments’ official regulator, authorized to respectively oversee and enforce BC VQA regulations and standards.
All wine-producing countries have standards for their best grape-growing regions. In BC, always look for VQA on the label to be sure a wine is made with 100% BC grapes.
You'll Love BC VQA Wines for Their Versatility
Winemakers in BC grow a broad range of grapes, including Chardonnay and Cabernet Franc. Such diversity makes it extremely easy to pair with food. BC VQA wines are the perfect accompaniment to menus created from locally sourced ingredients.
